Oscar G & More by Humans Alike
Oscar G, Madison Kendall, Nicholls, Larks, Sous Jeff,
Doors 8PM
Humans Alike closes the week and it does not go quietly. This one has Oscar G in it. Twenty-five years of records out of this city, eight number ones with Murk, and a residency he has held since 2001 playing ten-hour sets. He does not do short visits. With Madison Kendall, Nicholls, Larks and Sous Jeff, Sunday, October 18, from 8pm until late at AIRE Miami.
Playing
- Oscar GMiami house pioneer Oscar G has shaped the city’s sound since 1991, when he and Ralph Falcon formed Murk and wrote underground classics like “Dark Beat,” landing eight Billboard No. 1 club hits and remixing Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and Donna Summer along the way. His legendary ten-hour sets as resident at one of Miami’s most respected clubs made him one of its defining DJs, and a night with him is still a masterclass in how house music should be played.
- Madison KendallMiami-based house DJ Madison Kendall, formerly Madison Park, traded college lacrosse for the booth after one night on a Barcelona dance floor, and has since become a fixture of Miami’s underground with residencies at the city’s most respected after-hours rooms and Sunday parties. From long closing sets at home to major festival stages and seasons in Ibiza, she plays with the instinct of someone who learned the craft by watching the crowd.
