Michel Attie, Ketzal, Selekter
Doors 8PM
Ketzal came to this through a guitar and a piano, and it shows in the way he builds a room. He joins Michel Attie and Selekter on Saturday, November 14, for a night with nowhere in particular to be at 2am. Doors at 8pm, open to the sky at AIRE Miami.
Playing
- KetzalKetzal is Milton Melendez, an Argentine DJ from Buenos Aires who came to this through guitar and piano before he came to it through records. He spent four years as a hotel resident in Puerto Rico and now holds a residency in Miami Beach, which is a different discipline from club work and teaches you how to read a room that did not come for you. He leans deep house with afro melodic edges, and describes his own approach as closer to ritual than performance. It makes for sets that build rather than announce themselves.
