Jesse Calosso by Humans Alike
Jesse Calosso, Villa, Jhoan Ayala, Justin & Leo, Voyz
Doors 8PM
Jesse Calosso has a habit of playing records you did not know you needed. He came up in New York’s underground, splits his time now between Miami and Europe, and runs a label heading into its fifth year. He closes Halloween weekend on Sunday, November 1 with Villa, Jhoan Ayala, Justin & Leo and Voyz, from 8pm until late at AIRE Miami.
Playing
- Jesse CalossoJesse Calosso was born in the Bronx and came up in New York’s underground inside a circle that includes The Martinez Brothers, a friendship that has since turned into years of shared bills and releases. He now splits his time between Miami and Europe, playing peak time across Ibiza and the festival circuit without ever becoming the kind of DJ who plays what is expected. His sets shift tempo without warning and lean on records most rooms have never heard, which is a harder way to work and a much better night. He also runs Boogeyman, the label he founded five years ago and is quietly building into something larger.
