- GaebGaeb is Gabriel Torre de Alba, a Miami DJ who has built his name in the city’s rooftops, courtyards and house parties rather than on its biggest floors. He leans afro house and plays long, which is a different craft from playing loud. He is a fixture at the kind of nights people hear about afterwards, including a recent one where the whole room agreed to put their phones away. He is a good reason to come early rather than late.
- Jon RocJon Roc is a producer first, and it shows in how he plays. He builds his own tracks somewhere between 125 and 133, taking them from something close to soul into full club energy, which is roughly the shape of a set from him too. He puts out remixes and original material steadily and plays them out himself rather than waiting for someone else to pick them up. He is early in this, and catching someone at that stage is its own kind of pleasure.
